Job Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Support the implementation of TGI Group's external communication strategy
- Drive increased media coverage and positive perception of the company through a proactive media relations program.
- Lead content generation of external communication materials.
- Manage external communications and foster strong relations by building and managing key media contacts.
- Write press releases and articles about the Group and its businesses.
- Disseminating information on TGI Group's external communication channels including social media.
- Provide media monitoring and reports pertaining to TGI through daily news scans.
- Manage the group website to ensure it is not only functional and live but also enhances the reputation of the group.
- Support the goals, objectives and other responsibilities set by the department head.
Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, Media Studies or other relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role.
- Knowledge and understanding of communication practices, tools, and techniques in social media management.
- Knowledge of the Nigerian media landscape.
- Proven strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a wide range of partners.
