Roles and Responsibility
- Prepare financial reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with audit preparations
- To provide management and financial accounting support which includes posting in the general ledger
- Preparation and reconciliation of Profit and Loss and Balance sheet reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Assist in preparation of annual tax returns and other regulatory submissions.
- Providing accurate, understandable, timely information to support management decisions, including analysis and recommendations
- Managing relationship with external stakeholders, ensuring that appropriate reports and documentations are submitted to all relevant authorities.
- Keeping a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and assist with audit preparations.
- Preparing cost analyses by interpreting projects' financial data and information.
- Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.
- Researching market trends and projecting construction-related price increases/decreases.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Keeping abreast with both the construction and accounting industry.
- Perform other duties/ functions as assigned
Requirements
- 1st Degree with 5 years’ experience in similar position and minimum of Skill level of ICAN examination.
Skills:
- Analytical and detail oriented with high level of financial accuracy.
- Should display excellent business acumen and the ability to minimize production costs through efficient accounting.
- Excellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures.
- Familiarity with Peachtree accounting software.
- Working knowledge of the construction industry.
- Solid analytical and mathematical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: N180,000 - N200,000 / month.
