Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures


• Review existing policies and measures and update them according to legislation


• Initiate and organize OHStraining of employees and executives


• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issuesor non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)

• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances, etc.


• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy


• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes


• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.

Qualifications

• First Degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or relevant field from any reputable institution in Nigeria


• Minimum of 5 years of experience as HSE personnel in a well-structured environment


• NEBOSH/OSHA Certification will be a huge plus


• Sound communications skills (Written & Verbal)


• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices


• Ideal candidate must be resident in Ikorodu or its environs


• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety


• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Applications


• Outstanding organizational skills


• Attention to details


• Excellent communication skills.
