Job Summary


Assist the client or communities to adopt a healthy behavioral pattern through data collation and collection to identify community health needs as well as implement programs in the community that promote, maintain, and improve individual and community health.


Responsibilities



  • Administer immunizations or other basic preventive treatments.

  • Advise clients or community groups on issues related to diagnostic screenings, such as breast cancer screening, diabetes screenings etc.

  • Advise clients or community groups on issues related to improving general health, such as diet or exercise.

  • Advise clients or community groups on issues related to self-care, such as diabetes management.

  • Maintain updated client records with plans, notes, appropriate forms, or related information.

  • Advise clients or community groups on issues related to sanitation or hygiene, such as hand washing.

  • Advise clients or community groups to ensure parental understanding of the importance of childhood immunizations and how to access immunization services.

  • Organize and attend community meetings or health fairs to understand community issues or build relationships with community members.

  • Reach out to clients on a daily basis using a variety of mediums (phone, mails, chats, in-person) to check up on their progress, answer questions, make recommendations and changes to their programs if necessary.

  • Distribute flyers, brochures, or other informational or educational documents to inform members of a targeted community.

  • Monitor nutrition of children, elderly, or other high-risk groups.

  • Perform basic diagnostic procedures, such as blood pressure screening, or communicative disease screening.

  • Provide basic health services, such as first aid.

  • Provide feedback to ExC Pharmaceuticals regarding improving service accessibility or acceptability.

  • Review currently existing programs and health initiatives to ensure they are up-to-date, effective and safe for their intended audience(s).

  • Complete administrative tasks on an ongoing basis to ensure proper and organized record keeping


Requirements:



  • A minimum of 1-2 years health/social services experience

  • A relevant University degree

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • The ideal candidate MUST be resident on the Island, Lekki or environs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
