About truQ:

truQ (Techstars'22)) is a logistic tech company  solving the inefficiencies and frustrations of third party logistics in Africa. truQ connects businesses with logistics needs to the closest vehicles in real-time and also provides these businesses with tech solutions to all of their complementary logistics problems. The goal is to become Africa's most preferred third party logistics solution provider.



We are looking to hire an experienced Sales and Business Development Lead to help us build an effective sales force and drive sales performance. We require a strong ability to sell, experience


selling tech products, commercial acumen and the ability to analyze and drive the sales team's performance.


Previous experience in FMCG, logistics  or general supply chain is a plus but not mandatory.


Key Responsibilities




  • Develop sales plans and strategies, play books, sales presentation and materials, asides other initiatives as may be necessary.




  • Follow up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team while coaching and  supervising  the lead generation performance of the sales team.




  • Develop new leads, close existing leads and upsell current customers under business customers.




  • Sync with other business divisions as may be necessary towards rates negotiations, customer onboarding,  product adoption and general business operations and fulfillment.




  • Support the  Growth Lead with ideation and designing of business development plans and strategies.




  • Draft SLA’s for new clients and update  existing SLA’s as may be necessary.




  • Maintain and  report accurate records on leads/prospects, conversions, business goals and other sales activities.




Requirements




  • Minimum of 3 years of proven sales and business development  experience - FMCG, logistics  or general supply chain BD experience  is a plus.




  • Minimum of  BSc educational qualification, industry specific Bsc or relevant certification is an added advantage.




  • Excellent communication, negotiation and sales skills.




  • Strong leadership and people management skills.




  • Initiative, drive,  entrepreneurial skills and ability to deliver results with minimal supervision..




  • Expertise in designing and optimizing sales funnels and familiarity with  CRM tools.
