Our client, a fully integrated and efficient downstream player in the Nigeria Oil Industry is hiring a Chief Marketing Officer to drive its marketing aspirations.
The CMO will be responsible for the planning, developing, implementing and monitoring the overall marketing strategy for the business. The candidate will also be responsible for driving the corporate marketing business plan, competitive analysis, pricing strategy, product marketing, Brand positioning, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the overall marketing objectives for the company
- Be involved in the planning and the implementation of the marketing strategy
- Contribute to the overall growth of the company
- Be involved in the creation of compelling marketing contents that drives the awareness of the product to its target audience
- Determine and monitor KPIs for the marketing department and give periodic reports to management
- Ensure that all marketing campaigns is within the threshold of company's budget with minimum scope creep
- Collaborate with the business development and customer success teams to achieve goal congruence
- Be actively involved in the creation of the annual marketing plan and strategy
- Employ the use of reliable data and reports to make evidence-based decisions that are sustainable for the organisation's bottom-line
- Periodically review the company's marketing strategy for corporate alignment
- Must be conversant and adaptable to integrate latest practices in the marketing discipline to drive performance
- Employ innovative methods of design, planning and execution of bespoke marketing campaigns that will give the organisation a competitive edge in the industry.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the Oil and Gas/Energy sector with a proven track record of successful achievements in the role
- Must be familiar with the use of digital marketing as a marketing strategy tool
- Must be able to produce and present performance reports
- Excellent organizational, time management and influential leadership skills
- Excellent communication and ability to manage a team
- Must have a Masters of Arts in Marketing Management or similar relevant discipline
- Additional marketing certifications are a plus.
