Responsibilities

• Convey materials, equipment, and staff of the company to the areas where they are required.


• Taking ownership of any vehicle assigned to you by taking good care of the vehicle and ensuring that the vehicle is secured at all times


• Complete a “vehicle checklist” every morning and a “Vehicle expenses and usage log” before commencement and after completing a trip


• Inspect the vehicles and perform basic support undertakings like checking the oil levels, refueling the car(s), changing the batteries, changing tires and checking and repairing some minor issues.


• Recognize electrical or mechanical faults in the vehicles and report to the line manager whose duty it is to arrange to take it to a mechanic or electrician.


• The driver is also saddled with the obligation of guaranteeing that the vehicles are constantly kept perfect and clean.


• The driver should be proficient in the services he/she renders, and comply with all traffic rules.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of SSCE


• Minimum of 2 years experience as a driver with good driving record


• Expert Driver, able to drive various vehicles - Saloon cars, Pickups, Trucks, Buses.


• Valid Drivers’ license


• Good knowledge of Nigerian routes especially Lagos and Ogun state.


• Must be Male


• Must be neat and presentable


• Technical background is an added advantage


• Willing to work long and irregular hours, weekends and on public holidays as required.
