Vantegral consulting is looking for a qualified Solution Design Engineer for our client in the technology sector.

Job summary:

The Solution Design engineer will be responsible for producing and implementing designs that provide high levels of service availability and end user performance. The candidate will also be responsible for producing and implementing designs which meet agreed service targets, resilience and restoration requirements, as well as assess current computer systems, design and develop new technology solutions and integrate software and hardware to fit the digital systems within a business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide effective, timely and accurate network solutions for new and existing design initiatives.


• Produce and implement designs that provide high levels of service availability and end user performance.


• Produce and implement designs which meet agreed service targets, resilience and restoration requirements.


• Liaise with suppliers to confirm design assumptions/supplier capabilities and to support implementation and testing activities.


• Ensure designs meet set requirements.


• Ensure designs are peer reviewed.

Job requirement:

• Experience of working within a data network carrier / service provider environment.


•  Minimum of 10 years’ experience


• Must have service design skills.


• Knowledge of scripting languages


• Ability to work in a high pressure environment with tight deadlines


• Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team


• Strong written and verbal communication skills required for presenting complex technical concepts


• A strong understanding of IP and associated protocol


• Customer facing experience within a technical environment.


•  Highly motivated, able to multi-task and be resourceful.
