Objectives
- Provide Electrical & Instrumentation CAD capabilities to the ECP engineering team.
- Preparation of Instrumentation discipline deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Generate new Electrical/Instrumentation and Process discipline drawings (e.g. P&IDs, cable routings, loop diagrams, block diagrams, SLD, HMI graphics etc.) using AutoCAD or other CAD tool, either based on own information gained on site or provided by discipline engineers.
- Carry out basic and detailed instrumentation engineering studies and produce associated deliverables, e.g. Instrument Specification & datasheets, Hook-up Drawings, control philosophies, etc.
- Modify existing electrical, instrumentation and process discipline drawings, either based on own information gained on site or provided by discipline engineers.
- Generate and modify other electrical & instrumentation disciplines documents (e.g. bill of materials, datasheets, etc.).
- Extract information from existing drawings (e.g. dimensions, tag nos., etc.) at the request of instrumentation or process discipline engineers.
- Locate and extract drawings from PRODOM document management system at the request of instrumentation or process discipline engineers.
- Conduct onshore and offshore site surveys to obtain information necessary to develop and complete Electrical & Instrumentation designs.
- Build new and update existing designs using Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI).
- Effective and timely delivery of Electrical & Instrumentation and Process drawings and documentation of an acceptable quality
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Technical Diploma in Engineering with 5 to 10 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Skilled use of SPI, AutoCAD and other CAD tools essential.
- Use of MS-Office an added advantage.
- Familiarity with international standards and regulations.
- Team work, commitment to technical accuracy, ability to organize and execute works unassisted
