Job Background
- Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas.
- Able to execute transactions ranging from equity and debt capital raise to financial advisory, project finance, and structured finance.
- The ideal candidate should be willing to work in a team environment with a high degree of client contact, and management of multiple transactions.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of marketing documents including Prospectus, Information memorandum, Investment teaser, and pitchbooks/proposal as well as investment appraisals for clients
- Perform macroeconomic and company research as well as analysis of several industries and sectors of the Nigerian economy
- Development of various types of financial models for capital raising transactions.
- Perform various valuation methods – comparable companies, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow
- Manage multiple projects and transactions
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business-related field
- 1 - 2 years relevant work experience in related field (Investment banking, Investment Research, etc.)
- Willing and ready to be a team player
- Sound knowledge of the Nigerian economy and the Financial Markets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
- Ready to work long hours when the need arises
- Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong financial modeling skills (corporate and project finance models)
- Strong valuation skills (Discounted Cash Flow Method, Comparable company analysis, etc.)
- Proficient in analyzing company’s financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
