Job Summary

Our client, a leading company in the Medical Diagnostics Industry within Lagos state, is currently recruiting for an experienced Information Technology Manager.

The IT Manager is responsible for the management of all IT-related activities and devices by determining company technology needs in accordance with industry standard and best practice, while making relevant decisions to meet those needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with users, vendors, technicians, and managers to understand and assess computing and system needs and requirements.


• Communicate the goals, policies, and procedures of the company to the IT team; develops plans to implement these needs.


• Evaluate current technology use and needs of the company and recommends software and hardware improvements. 


• Oversee backup, security, and user help systems.


• Remain current on advances in technology and industry technological trend.


• Provides technical support to users.


•  Prepares and delivers operational or project progress reports.


• Hires and coordinates training of team members.


• Prioritizes and assigns team members to IT projects.


• Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations


• Implements and oversees IT annual operational budget and ensures cost effectiveness


• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Person Specification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required


• Minimum of nine (9) years’ experience in information technology, with at least 3 years supervisory/managerial experience


• Proven work experience within the FMCG, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industry


• Experience in medical diagnostics industry is an added advantage


• IT Certification in Project Management or Business Solutions Deployment


• Strong technical background on core web technologies / cloud technologies / API stack / system architecture


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. 


• Thorough understanding of IT principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures.


• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work.


• Ability to explain technical problems and offer solutions to those without technological training.


•  Local travel may sometimes be required

Work Structure: On-site

Salary Range: N300-600,000 monthly gross (plus benefits)
