Job Description



Job Purpose


The Employer is in need to hire for a definite period, a Physiotherapist to support Elim CVTC’s projects – Community Based Inclusive Development in Benue State. The Physiotherapist is expected to undertake and supervise all physiotherapeutic exercises and treatments in the field and at the headquarters - physiotherapy centre and any other duty that may be assigned by Elim Program Manager or Directors. On no occasion shall the employee share any information concerning the project however small or big with third party or anybody without prior permission/approval from Elim Program Manager or Director.


Roles and responsibilities



  • Undertake physiotherapeutic exercises and treatments in the field and at the headquarter.

  • Supervise and monitor clients’ development and recovery processes in the field.

  • Attend to patients and clients at the headquarters.

  • Provide expert/professional information to users.

  • Train and coach the physiotherapy team.

  • Issue assistive devices and supervise users.

  • Support social workers and Team Leaders in services pertaining to rehabilitation.

  • Record daily statistics and prepare reports.

  • Other tasks as may be required by Elim CVTC.


Qualification



  • An MR or BMR(PT).

  • Ready to abide by rules/regulations guiding Elim/donors.

  • Ability to show good rehabilitation skills.

  • Flexibility.

  • Good leadership and managerial skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and in the communities.

  • Ability to recognize limitations/boundaries in practice and make appropriate referrals.

  • Good teaching and supervision skills.

  • Excellent IT skills, with specific competency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to work in a team environment with technical and non-technical staff.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated and dynamic, with excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to details.
