Location: Abeokuta, Ogun


Role Summary



  • The Post holder is responsible for preparing and examining Greatland Farms financial records, ensuring records are accurate and that taxes are paid.


Duties & Responsibilities



  • Management of the Farm Inventory ledger, daily monitoring of the transactions recorded, and monthly reconciliation of the Inventory module with the General ledger.

  • Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting regulations.

  • Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.

  • Keeping informed about current legislation relating to accounting.

  • Protecting the Company's margins through control of farm operational costs and maximization of income.

  • Coordinating daily accounting activities of the business

  • Ensuring the books of account are all balanced and ready for management presentation.

  • Putting together all the different account balance of each unit in the organization.

  • Managing Accounts payable and receivable

  • Monthly reports on Farm Revenue against budget and review of the Cost of Sales.

  • Train and manage performance of other account staff

  • Payroll preparation and administration

  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations

  • Managing accounting software used by Greatland Farms


Job Requirements



  • B.Sc / B.A in Accounting, or related courses.

  • M.Sc / MBA is an added advantage.

  • 4 - 6 years’ experience.

  • Proven work experience as an Accountant

  • Proficiency in accounting software

  • Professional membership of ICAN mandatory

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and best practices.

  • An analytical mind with strategic abilities.

  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
