COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Our Company, an integrated indigenous publishing company located at No 46 Water Bus-Stop, Opposite University of Ibadan, Oyo Road, is looking to recruit an Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and documents of the company as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
JOB DUTIES:
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Preparing and maintaining important financial reports such as debtor's accounts and creditor's (vendors) account.
- Payroll preparation.
- Posting of payment vouchers for all expenditures.
- Weekly analysis of Sales Representatives and Agents transactions.
- Preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and on time.
- Evaluating financial operations to recommend best-practices, identifying issues and strategizing solutions, and helping the company to run efficiently.
- Offering guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximisation.
- Conducting forecasting and risk analysis assessments.
- Account reconciliation.
- Liaises with External Auditors for statutory financial audit.
- Effective delegation of account duties to staff within the Account department.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for the company.
- Any other tasks assigned by the management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc/HND in Accounting.
- Must be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria.
- Must have optimal skill on SAGE 50 software application, MS Excel and MS Word.
- Must have 2-5 years corporate experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Must have relevant and updated knowledge of Federal and State tax regulations.
- Must have excellent knowledge of accounting posting that agrees with International Financial reporting Standards and IAS.
- Ability to do FIRS online filing is an added advantage.
- Must have excellent computational skill.
- Must have excellent writing and verbal skills.
- Preferably a male between ages 24-40 years.
- Must be diligent and pay attention to details.
- Must be a team player.
SALARY:
₦110,000-₦160,000 (depending on experience)

Ibadan.
