Observing passengers for signs of stress or anxiety in order to assist them during their ride.
Reporting mechanical problems such as malfunctions, breakdowns, or defects in the elevator system.
Using emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits in case of emergency.
Providing customers with information on building services such as the location of the nearest restrooms or the hours of operation for the building’s business center.
Responding to calls from firefighters who need access to upper floors in case of emergency.
Maintaining records of all activity in the elevator system including maintenance checks, repairs, and changes in traffic flow patterns.
Performing routine checks on equipment such as the temperature of the elevator cab or the level of oil in the engine to ensure safe operation of the elevator.
Operating an elevator according to established procedures and regulations, including announcing stops and closing doors between floors.
Reporting any safety hazards or unusual activity to supervisors or security staff.
Job Requirements
Candidate should possess a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).
