  • GoVote is looking to recruit a Project Associate who will work closely with the Project Manager to deliver on the project goals. 


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide programme management support

  • Provide administrative support to the project planning and activity implementation.

  • Design and develop election information content for online and offline materials.

  • Support the preparation of grant documentation

  • Support knowledge sharing and capacity building

  • Any other duties as assigned by the organisation.


Qualifications

Knowledge / Skills / Experience



  • A minimum Bachelor's from an accredited University (in Administration, International Relations, Policy, Political Science, Social Sciences or related field).

  • One (1) year cognate experience within the civil society, social justice, funder/donor space in the area of governance and elections.

  • A solid understanding of the Nigerian democratic and governance space with relations to government agencies, civil society, start-ups and the development partner community.

  • Demonstrates understanding and use of basic project management. methodologies, including the ability to plan, manage and maintain a complex, organisation wide program over the longer term.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Practical knowledge of different message distribution techniques to ensure end user communities understand and continually apply the and engage Nigeria citizenry offline and online.

  • Effective use of digital technology, such as audio, video, social media, online communities, blogs, and other web-based technologies to drive and effect change.

  • Creative thinking and understanding of multicultural audiences to produce engaging materials in a variety of formats and media.

  • Resilience and flexibility to explore different paths to achieve an outcome and adjust quickly and efficiently to new circumstances and measured results

  • Confidently develops and delivers ‎presentations.

  • Highly organised and able to multitask and manage concurrent deadlines


Key Skills:



  • At least 1 year working knowledge within an NGO or civil society on elections and governance.

  • Excellent communication and content marketing skills in election and governance issues

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage data, documents, and share timely reports on projects.
