Responsibilities

General:



  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.

  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.

  • Work closely with the Engineering team to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.


Research Market Needs:



  • Review market data and complete an informative analysis of findings.

  • Develop a product strategy that guides the team towards goals that meet the needs of both the end-user and business.

  • Ensure all stakeholders have a solid understanding of the product and its capabilities to ensure company-wide success.

  • Manage product releases – Draft and distribute product briefs to ensure the smooth introduction of every new release.

  • Answer questions and troubleshoot issues throughout the release lifecycle.


Practice Customer Centric Development:



  • Work with clients to understand their unique needs and pain points.

  • Capture and share client feedback with the team to best investigate ways to create a solution.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure features and functionality are meeting market needs in new and innovative ways.

  • Report the success of the products and strategize improvements needed.

  • Agile Management – Run daily rituals like scrum, backlog grooming, planning, and retrospective for a cross-functional team. Monitor the progress of issues and provide solutions for the Engineering team.

  • Partner with the Engineering team to translate customer needs into workable technology solutions within the agreed timelines.

  • Draw insights from user research, experiments, and industry trends to set the team strategy and prioritize projects that sustainably grow our customer base and drive the adoption of new products.

  • Work closely with the Engineering, Design, Sales, and Analytics teams to grow our customer base through conversion rate optimization, retention, and re-engagement initiatives.


Own the Entire Product by:



  • Translating product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.

  • Defining the product strategy and product roadmap.

  • Managing the product throughout its lifecycle from conception to finish.

  • Collecting, managing, and maintaining traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases.

  • Writing product requirements and market requirements documents.

  • Monitor data, reports, and improve product performance.

  • Run trials and MVPs while developing and delivering go-to-market strategies, and market launch plans.

  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding both internally and externally.

  • Also, be ready to do whatever it takes to make your product successful, no matter how big or small the issue may be.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree

  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a Product Manager in a B2B environment and/or financial services and/or banking industry.

  • Demonstrable experience managing product cycles from ideation to

  • Excellent analytical ability with experience in defining, tracking, and reporting on key success metrics.

  • The ability to work with a strong methodology and process to drive product decisions.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to communicate, collaborate, and influence effectively across all stakeholders.

  • Proven ability in developing product and marketing strategies and effectively communicating recommendations.

  • Proven record in managing all aspects of the product life cycle.

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • You love to create new products and are always thinking of ways to improve existing ones.

  • Finally, you are eager to learn and interact with both internal and external customers.

Remuneration

N250,000 - N600,000 monthly.
