The Opportunity

Our newly formed Marketplace Enablement squad is responsible for improving the experience and success rate for both candidates and companies in our marketplace, as well as enabling our operational teams to deliver a highly human service more effectively and efficiently at scale.

We are looking for a Fullstack JS Engineer to join our Marketplace Enablement squad as part of our larger product group. Our product squads are cross-functional teams of talented engineers, product managers and designers working together to design and deliver impactful and quality software.

We’re big on developer productivity (hence React, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails), continuous improvement (we’re currently doing Kent C. Dodds’ epicreact.dev) and delivering value to customers (check out the feature we released last quarter: https://lnkd.in/gKYRruQ). 

What you’ll do

• Design, test, and ship quality front-end and back-end ( Ruby-on-Rails & React) code every week to build impactful new features for our internal operational teams.


• Help design and architect backend features with the delivery team.


• Actively sharing knowledge with your peers and upskilling engineers through code reviews and pair-programming.


• Work with a wide range of systems, stakeholders, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from design to delivery.


• Uphold and improve our engineering standards and processes.


• Debug production issues across services at multiple levels of our stack


• Have conversations on architectural design & contributing to the technical requirements. Where needed, you are producing easy to understand technical documents.


• Contribute to the technical and product roadmap


• Actively contribute in Planning, Grooming, Retros & daily standup meetings.


• Contribute to the success of the team, and extending a helping hand to your team where needed.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you:

• Have 5+ years experience in software development or Senior Developer for at least 2 years.


• Have some experience in Cloud Architectures (preferably AWS or Heroku).


• Are a quick learner looking to delivery maximum value in an autonomous environment whilst remaining accountable for their delivery


• Have experience working within a high growth tech startup/scale up is preferable


• Have excellent problem solving abilities that combine product design, process and technical aspects


• Have the ability to clearly articulate solutions for a technical and non-technical audience


• Have room in your closet for numerous free t-shirts :)
