- The Planning and Progress Manager will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of multiple teams working together to deliver the goals of the company.
- They will be tasked with working hand in hand with these teams to break down their goals into actionable plans with clear timelines, and responsibilities.
- They will also be responsible for communicating the progress, risks, blockers, and existing opportunities to the leadership team to ensure the timely execution and delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the organization's goals and the role each stakeholder plays in achieving them.
- Establish project objectives by working with teams to break down their goals into actionable plans with key activities, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Align on key deliverables, milestones and success criterias, resource allocation, and all relevant activities that would ensure successful on-time delivery by the key stakeholders.
- Communicate with stakeholders throughout the project to ensure they are aware of project status and any potential issues that may impact the project’s outcome
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and Identify risks that could derail the timely achievement of the goals set; escalate these risks to project stakeholders and ensure that they implement mitigative actions.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies during the planning & execution of these projects.
- Adequately communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company.
- Monitor budgets, schedules, and other key performance indicators to ensure that projects are progressing as planned
- Prepare a project’s scope statement, including major milestones and tasks, deliverables, and team members involved in the project
- Evaluate project results to determine whether goals were achieved and if changes are necessary to improve performance for future projects
- Coordinating with other departments or personnel as needed to ensure that projects meet organizational goals
Academic & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or other related discipline.
- 2 - 3 years of project management experience; preference for technology product and service development initiatives
- Experience managing and coordinating projects: monitoring, anticipating, and troubleshoots issues, providing ongoing expertise, resolving problems, and providing project effectiveness
- Experience in managing delivery teams of various sizes and scopes (may include staff, consultants, and vendors)
Skills & Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
- Ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into clear, simple, and actionable information
- Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously owns deliverables end to end, and partners with other teams to achieve goals.
- Ability to articulately present and debate recommendations with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
