We are seeking a professional and highly analytical Legal Operations Associate who will join our team and focus on regulatory and corporate compliance for our company. As we venture into more business units and expand our product operations, we are unavoidably exposed to a lot more risks. To this end, you would be relied upon to ensure we are compliant with regulatory and corporate requirements that guide our industry to help mitigate these risks. To prosper in this role, you should be fluent in risk management and principles.


About the role:




  • Implement and manage an effective corporate and regulatory compliance program.




  • Develop and review company policies.




  • Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.




  • Carry out regular compliance audit on company procedures, practices, products, operations and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.




  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.




  • Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.




  • Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.




  • Carrying out KYC due diligence and ensuring KYC metrics are adhered to.




  • Ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy standards.




  • Transaction monitoring and reporting.




  • Liaising with regulatory bodies and government agencies.




About You:




  • Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field.




  • 3–5 years of proven experience in a compliance officer role within the financial industry, preferably Fintech.




  • Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.




  • Brilliant oral and written communication skills.




  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.




  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity. 




  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
