Job Objectives

• Providing sound and practical advice on compliance activities, particularly in data protection, in complex situations and ability to influence others to implement that advice.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and management of data privacy related policies and processes across the bank and its subsidiaries


• Conduct periodic assessment of the bank’s data privacy compliance position: identify gaps, recommend remediation, and execute on related projects


• Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessment for projects originating from all business units within the bank and its subsidiaries where applicable


• Review, triage and execute all data privacy requests originating from customers in line with existing triaging model


• Reviews of M&CC communication with data subject attributes


• Enforce data protection clauses on all data processing agreements


• Provide guidance on the data transmission/storage/security


• Provide guidance on data storage -geographical locations Implication


• Provide guidance to business units on data consent management across manual/digital processes, products, or services


• Conduct staff training and awareness on Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, personal data handling and all other data privacy related provisions


• Provide guidance on Information sharing/ disclosure to staff


• Keep abreast with the latest issues of discourse in the global data privacy community


• Serve as subject matter expert on data privacy related issues as required from time to time


• Other tasks as may be assigned by data protection officer.
