JOB DESCRIPTION


The Accountant will have the following key accountabilities:



  • Record/input company’s day to day transactions into the company’s ERP software and keep accurate financial records and ledger.

  • Prepare the company’s monthly and quarterly financial reports including budget, sales report, bank transactions and financial statements.

  • Compute tax and prepare tax returns to comply with extant laws and regulations on taxation.

  • Conduct periodic accurate bank reconciliation and stock reconciliation and prepare report.

  • Collaborate and communicate with other functional teams to meet client’s needs and operational efficiency within the company.


QUALIFICATION & SKILL SET


Academic Qualification



  • B. Sc. or H.N.D Degree in Accounting from a reputable academic institution.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Relevant working experience in a structured reputable corporate organization. Candidate must have a solid financial system skills and a sound background in corporate finance, financial reporting and analysis.


Skill Set & Other Requirements



  • Extensive and verifiable knowledge of contemporary IT software like Microsoft Excel and accounting software package like Tally ERP or Sage. Only applicants with strong MS-Excel skills should apply.

  • Demonstrate a high level of oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective working relationship.

  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, initiative, sound judgment, tact and discretion.

  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to determine priorities and meet regular deadlines. Must be a highly reliable individual that has ability to collaborate with team.

  • Ability to quickly learn organizational work model & operations, understanding the implications of information & model integrity in the short & long term.
