Scope of work
Manage the Accounts department of Godrej Nigeria and maintain company’s overall financial reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Ensure financial statements and books comply with Financial Reporting Standards
- Custodian of accounting policies and procedures
- Responsible for quarterly and annual statutory reporting and audit.
- Balance sheet and general ledger hygiene, ownership of reconciliation process and procedures
- Accounting for and preservation of assets: cash, inventory, fixed assets
- Ownership of accounting procedures and policies
- Monitoring entity controls and compliance
- Exercise oversight in management of working capitals
- Tax Management and compliance
- Insurance Management
- Month end and year-end close activities
- Evaluating and managing risks
- Develop mechanism to ensure filing of all relevant statutory returns
- Ensure all applicable legislation are embedded in the Company’s reporting processes
- Comfortable with budgeting and forecasting
- Peer review and bench marking analysis
Essential Qualifications
- B.Sc.
- Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)/ACCA
