Role Purpose Statement
- This role is responsible to plan, direct or coordinate general services activities as it pertains to power generators, water treatment plants, kitchen equipment, electrical and electronic systems, plumbing and sewage systems, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, cold rooms, etc.
- The aim is to ensure that these functions are carried out effectively and efficiently, in harmony and in accordance with company’s operational standards and policies
Key Interfaces Internal:
- Office of the Managing Director, Branch Manager, Area Manager Sales, Warehouse; TPL and other business functions.
Key Interfaces External:
Main Accountabilities
- Coordination of all equipment and maintenance work ranging from power generators, water treatment plants, kitchen equipment, electrical and electronic systems, plumbing and sewage systems, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, cold rooms, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Identification of technical problems and solving same.
- Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted,
- Inspect on a routine basis, all machines, equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional
- Prepare and adhere to preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment
- Maintain equipment inventory and reduce downtime on equipment
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Manage a team of technicians of various fields, training the technicians when there are identified competency gaps.
- Preparation of weekly/monthly reports and other administrative duties
- All other duties as assigned by the General Service Manager.

- No. of fault attended to and resolved within 24hrs
- No of inspection conducted and concluded within 24hrs
- No. of faulty equipment attended to within 24hrs
- % of employee satisfaction achieved
- Timely response to faults and repairs
Education, Experience & Technical Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Management, Electrical Engineering or Similar Studies
- At least seven (7) years proven experience in similar positions having supervisory responsibilities.
Other Required Competencies:
- Knowledge of high and low voltage panels, control systems, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and air-conditioning systems
- Ability to trouble shoot and solve challenges, painstaking with detail
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and must have the ability to multitask.
- Strong oral and verbal communication skills, and computer literate
- Good time management & organisational skills
- Knowledge of general services and administrative systems, and development of working policy, manuals, procedures.
- Ability to work proactively, organize and manage own work and assist others to do the same
- Computer literacy and ability to use all Office programs.
