Job Description



  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics procedure on vehicles and equipment.

  • Record observations and findings during diagnostics run and decide on the correct method of repair, as necessary.

  • Plan and organize Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) and delegate specific tasks to concerned section/mechanic.

  • Provide on-the-job training as well as coaching and mentoring to mechanics.

  • Responsible for the implementation of HSEQ standard within the workshop area and stocks replenishment.

  • Conduct final check/test driving for all vehicles/trucks prior to release.


Qualifications and Requirements



  • B.Eng. in Mechanical or related fields from a recognized University or Polytechnic.

  • 3 - 4 years cognate experience in the role.

  • Must be between 26-30 years and completed NYSC or have an exemption letter.


Required Skills:



  • Flexible in work operations with a sound judgment informed by extensive practical knowledge and experience.

  • Proficient Computer skills, planning and administrative skills.

  • Experience gained from heavy duty vehicles is required.

  • Well-honed leadership and management skills; with an ability to motivate others.

  • Must be able to work under intense pressure and be willing to travel.
