- Job Field Agriculture / Agro-Allied
- Prepare and plan seed production schedule in accordance with seed production targets indicated by management for the year.
- Contribute to the screening and selection of out-growers for yearly seed production activities.
- Participate in planting, rouging, detasseling, and harvesting as well as provide technical backstopping on recommended agricultural practices for seed production.
- Seed production of open pollinated varieties, inbred lines, and hybrids.
- Monitor and ensure quality control standards for production of foundation and/or certified seeds of open pollinated variety, inbred lines and hybrids are met.
- Maintain records for seed production outputs, farm management practices and parent stock delivery.
- Implement and enforce quality assurances and control, tracking of programs to meet quality objectives.
- Establishment of demonstration plots and high-way seed plots for training of farmers on good agricultural practices
- Conduct training to farmers on field management practices and organize farmers field day in collaboration with other staff.
- Prepare and maintain seed production reports
- Supervise field staff and ensure effective utilization of resources.
