Afrosport is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated with significant experience within Nigerian/African sports market.
Responsibilities for Sales Manager
- Define pricing strategies and Achieving revenue targets in specified Ad Sales
- Identify potential local advertisers and converting them into actual sales
- Active engagement with the Capital Market contacts and key stakeholders; understand and analyse their business needs.
- Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
- Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them
- Develop individual quotas and assign territories for team members
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
- Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members
- Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Media or Communications studies, Marketing or any related field.
- A masters’ degree in sales or marketing will be an added advantage
- Minimum of Six (6) years’ experience
- At least 3-4 years relevant experience in sales.
- Strong presentation, and written communication skills.
- Strong interest and working knowledge of Nigerian/African sports or markets
- Proven new business development, relationship and territory management knowledge and experience
- Highly articulate and confident in sales approach and strategy.
