About the job
The chief risk officer (CRO) is accountable for enabling the efficient and effective governance of significant risks, and related opportunities, to its custodian business and related activities. The CRO’s main responsibilities will be to ensure that a culture of risk identification, assessment and management is embedded across TransAlliance Group on an enterprise-wide basis. Also, be responsible for ensuring a strong internal control environment through the development of policies and procedures, ensuring their implementation and monitoring compliance.
Qualifications/Experience:
- University degree (preferably from a finance or statistical, risk management or actuarial background) and professional qualifications.
- A Master’s degree/professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a senior risk officer or adviser in a multinational group or delivering similar services in an audit firm
- Qualified Risk Professional (an associate or a fellow), from a reputable risk association and a member risk association.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Good industry knowledge and understanding of ERM and risk related standards and legislations and its use in the business.
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements in governance, risk and capital management.
