Job Description of Network and Systems Administrator

Our preferred candidate for Network and Systems Administrator position should be responsible for the day-to-day operation of networks and components for both Mitiget and her clients including:  

• Design and Implementation of LAN/MAN/WAN


• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including switches, firewall, wireless devices, routers, and fixing of firmware and devices


• Management of Endpoint security, email, system, SIEM, SOC, DAM and other network tools.


• Deployment of network traffic and bandwidth technology and management including implementing tools for network system, availability, and performance monitoring


• Optimizing and maintaining network security protocols, such as secure socket layer (SSL), secure file transfer protocol (SFTP), and virtual private networks (VPNs), to ensure data is protected


• Performing routine network audits


• Troubleshooting and perform routine network audit


• Domain controller, user accounts set up and management, Server and workstation operating system hardening -Windows, Linux, Mac.

Added Advantage

• Knowledge of CCTV and Access Control Systems deployment and maintenance.


• Possession of any of these certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, VMWare Certified Technical Associate, SolarWinds Certified Professional


• At least 2 years’ experience.
