My client, an International media company based in Lagos, are experiencing a period of growth and currently recruiting for a Blogger- Content writer:

Key Accountabilities 

• Researching various industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)


• Develops and write news stories and other articles.


• Monitors politics, trending issues, popular culture as well as news


• Re-writes/translates wire copy, stories for the newscast, teases, and marketing 


• Researches facts and background information for Programming.


• Proofread and edit blog posts before publication


• Reads major newspapers and online services daily.


• Forwards articles pertinent to the major news of the day.


• Suggests future stories and promote content on social media 


• Is able to create individual content, and copywriting as and when required. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English


• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field


• 1-3years of professional writing experience as a Blogger/Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role


• Portfolio of published articles


• Experience doing research using multiple sources


• Familiarity with web publications


• Ability to work effectively


• Self-discipline and time management skills
