Our client, a leading organisation in the business and practice of Law is seeking to fill the role of a General Corporate Commercial Counsel.

The ideal candidates must have an extensive experience in Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Governance and Company Secretarial services.

Summarized Job Description

• Interfacing with regulators and stakeholder engagements on behalf of clients


• Negotiating, reviewing and drafting simple and complex corporate and commercial contracts


• Providing assistance with company secretarial duties, and support to the Firm’s clients


• Providing legal advice/opinions and analysis on a broad range of legal issues and transactions undertaken by the Firm’s clients


• Supporting the Firm’s corporate/commercial legal activities for regulatory compliance


• General corporate/commercial work


• Identifying and articulating risks associated with proposed transactions, projects and activities undertaken by the Firm’s clients


• Conducting independent, effective legal research to stay updated on donor policies and the regulatory environment

Person Specification

• LLB, BL, (ICSA or ICSAN certification and active practice may increase chances)


• Minimum of 4 years commercial/corporate experience either in-house or in a law firm


• Good business acumen


•  Good team spirit, interpersonal skills, maturity, and professionalism


•  Ability to work with minimum supervision


•  Attention to details


• Excellent written and oral communication


• Good knowledge of practices and applications in Merger and Acquisition, Capital Markets Dispute resolution, and all aspects of Corporate Law
