Scope

As an assistant Fashion design at Marvee, your job involves creating unique designs that are in line with our brand aesthetics taking inspiration from couture/high fashion designs to create original pieces that appeal to a Marvee woman.

• Handle consultations with clients, take accurate measurements


• Create mood broads, a detailed design brief specifications for each bespoke client for onward approval by the creative director


• Conceptualize designs based on clients brief at consultation, using fashion illustrations (water sketch or computer-generated fashion illustrations) and see design to finished and package garments


• Liaise with customer relationship representative, in handling communication of bespoke clients with designs already in production.


• Design / create new / collection for fast fashion and haute couture for onward approval by the creative director and oversee production to finish


• Source, Select fabric, trims, embellishments, color combination, style and design technique for each garment


• Conduct independent research and keep up to date with fashion trends and design techniques.


• Anticipate designs that will appeal to customers.


• Work closely with the production team to ensure all design specifications are met.


• Create production scheduled for each production staff based on confirmed orders for each month.


• Interface with clients to ensure they wear garment correctly on event day


• Work closely with the creative director to design bridal and bespoke garments.


• Assist production team with draping and pleating


• Conduct fittings, take down detailed note of fitting issues, client’s specifications and supervise the implementation of these changes with the production manager and team.


• Ensure the production team are unscheduled with delivery timelines.


• Report on design and production
