About The Opportunity


This role offers an excellent growth opportunity for an experienced Legal Executive who will be responsible for:


Legal Support



  • Advising management of the Companies across the Superflux Group on all legal matters including, but not limited to: Contract law, Commercial Law, Labor Law, Torts, Intellectual Property, Finance etc.

  • Negotiating, Drafting and Reviewing Agreements and contracts on behalf of the companies in the Superflux Group.


Compliance and Corporate Governance



  • Identifying compliance risk and opportunities in the companies.

  • Basic knowledge of all relevant legislation, policies, and regulations.

  • Reviewing laws and regulations, including applicable bills or exposure drafts, impacting, or potentially impacting the group's compliance requirements and business operations.


Contract Management



  • Drafting, reviewing, and proper record keeping of all legal documents including, but not limited to: Agreements, Vendor Contracts, Service Level Agreements amongst other documents.

  • Balancing the legal requirements in a contract with the commercial interests of the organization.

  • Monitoring the Contract Management System of the companies to ensure efficient management of contracts.


Litigation



  • Ensuring timely resolution of disputes to forestall unnecessary legal exposure.

  • Advising the company proactively to avoid, and or limit, litigation

  • Managing, monitoring, review and coordination of dispute resolution proceedings including liaising with and supervising external legal counsels.

  • Liaising with external legal advisers on matters and issues as directed by Management.


Regulatory & Governmental Affairs



  • Liaising with all the necessary Local, State and Federal government agencies

  • Liaising with and resolving any regulatory issues involving the companies in the Group including but not limited to: NPA, NIMASA, Corporate Affairs Commission, NAFDAC, NDLEA, Customs and SON.


Property Acquisition and Sale



  • Conducting due diligence on all proposed property transactions.

  • Negotiating favorable terms to protect the interests of the organization.

  • Ensuring all necessary documents are obtained to aid the registration at the land’s registry during a purchase.

  • Perfection of acquired properties at the land’s registry.


Corporate Communications Responsibilities



  • Driving the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Organization together with the HOD.


Insurance.



  • Monitoring and settlement of all claims.

  • Ensuring all assets of MEDLOG are adequately insured.


Company Secretarial Functions



  • Maintaining the registers of all the companies

  • Filing the necessary documents at CAC

  • Rendering general secretarial duties


Requirements:



  • A Legal generalist with 3-5 years of working experience working in a corporate legal capacity within a fast-paced, fast-evolving, and dynamic environment. Experience in a good law firm is an added advantage.

  • Exceptionally good communication skills and highly collaborative and interactive capacity

  • Technologically adept with excellent computer skills.

  • Exceptionally good skills in legal negotiation.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a multi-geographic team

  • Adaptable to working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment

  • Striving for continuous improvement and optimization

  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives

  • Flexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing priorities

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a multi-geographic team

  • Adaptable to working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
