Librod Energy Services Limited is an innovative company driven by a desire to provide excellent service delivery to the West African Oil and Gas industry.
We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for procurement planning, costing, negotiation, developing and maintaining innovative organizational policies and practices for the purchase of goods and services.
This position will work closely with Operations and Senior Management to ensure that procurement strategies are applied consistently in order to find ways to effectively optimize organizational expenses.
Duties.
- Coordinates the activities of the procurement department leading to the award and supply of goods and services as required by business owners across the organization.
- Implement policies and procedures for gathering and reporting key metrics that will reduce overall organizational costs while increasing productivity.
- Develops, maintains and implements an operating manual to deliver the target benefits and financial savings for the organization
- Vendor/contractor sourcing and management. Ensures the accuracy of vendor information in accordance with company policy and best practices.
- Set vendor performance KPIs, conduct vendor evaluations (including financial, technical, and commercial risk analysis), and site audits as needed to meet growing operational effectiveness and business demand.
- Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation in the procurement context.
- Track purchases, deliveries, and spending to see if vendors are meeting performance expectations.
- Ensures that Vendors/contractors performance conforms with agreed contractual obligations
- Acts as focal point for audit exercises on all procurement activities
- Liaises with Head Finance & Accounts to ensure all financial obligations to suppliers, vendors and contractors are met on time.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with key suppliers and technical partners to maintain quality standards and obtain best and most competitive price rates
- Provides periodic reports on the unit to the Head, Support Services for submission to the Managing Director
- Leads, motivates and builds capacity of staff in the unit to improve their performance.
- Champion QHSE compliance within Unit.
Qualifications
- A good University degree in Social Science, Engineering, Science or Law discipline
- Relevant professional qualifications in Procurement & Supply such as: CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 10years proven experience in supply chain or as a procurement/purchasing lead.
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous work experience in oil and gas, logistics and / or related services in a reputable company.
