Job Description
Job Title: Account Clerk
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers & Lagos
Responsibilities
- Generate and track sales invoices, credit notes
- Track sales and keep copies of receipts, invoices and waybills
- Compile customer receipts and monitor incoming and outgoing cash flow
- Generate sales receipts after account reconciliation has been done
- Create and maintain a systemic filing system
- File and track copies of stamped/received invoices from delivered sales
- Conduct monthly checks on customer accounts to ensure that the information provided are free of errors
- Conduct monthly reporting on collections and outstanding payments from customers
- Respond to queries from customers regarding their billings and statements while also updating their information and records when required.
Requirements
- SSCE / OND qualification
- 2 years experience in accounting preferably as an accounts receivable clerk or accounts payable clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written communication skills
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Technology savvy, and high level of proficiency in MS. Office (particularly MS. Excel)
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Sage ERP
- Demonstrable representation of problem-solving and data entry skills.
