Job Responsibilities
- Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
- Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Ensure compliance with standard organizational practices (HSSE, QMS)
- Presents execution budget for newly awarded projects to management for approval.
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at both project and organizational.
- Ensure accurate cash flow reporting and milestone tracking takes place.
- Carry out cost management, including forecasting.
- Ensure timely submission of valuation requests and milestone payments.
- Update the monthly CVF, cost, and commercial plans, have accountability, and the project team for commercial performance and strategy.
- Ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.
- Actively seek to improve processes and procedures.
- Have a good understanding of the processes and procedures used by any JV/Alliance that we are working within and assist in their development and improvement.
- Ensure that any central contracts entered have terms and conditions appropriate for CKL, with commercial risks identified.
- Ensure that the supply chain/procurement is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions.
- Develop good client relationships.
- Drive and manage third-party negotiations for adequate cost savings.
- Manage variations and claims effectively.
- Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation, and financial accounting.
- Effectively manage the commercial team, including cost clerks and support staff
- Ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and the operations teams.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor team members.
Job Experience
Educational Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- A minimum of two years of experience in project management, real estate, or a similar role
- Membership in NIQS is compulsory
- Excellent commercial awareness
