Job Summary




Responsible for providing contract management and administrative support to the project team. He/She will maintain commercial information and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control. 

  • Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks. 

  • Ensure compliance with standard organizational practices (HSSE, QMS)

  • Presents execution budget for newly awarded projects to management for approval. 

  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at both project and organizational.  

  • Ensure accurate cash flow reporting and milestone tracking takes place.  

  • Carry out cost management, including forecasting.  

  • Ensure timely submission of valuation requests and milestone payments. 

  •  Update the monthly CVF, cost, and commercial plans, have accountability, and the project team for commercial performance and strategy.  

  •  Ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.  

  • Actively seek to improve processes and procedures.  

  • Have a good understanding of the processes and procedures used by any JV/Alliance that we are working within and assist in their development and improvement. 

  • Ensure that any central contracts entered have terms and conditions appropriate for CKL, with commercial risks identified.  

  • Ensure that the supply chain/procurement is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions. 

  • Develop good client relationships.  

  • Drive and manage third-party negotiations for adequate cost savings. 

  • Manage variations and claims effectively. 

  • Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation, and financial accounting.     

  • Effectively manage the commercial team, including cost clerks and support staff 

  • Ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and the operations teams.  

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor team members. 




Job Experience




Educational Qualifications and Requirements



  • Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying  

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience 

  • A minimum of two years of experience in project management, real estate, or a similar role

  • Membership in NIQS is compulsory  

  • Excellent commercial awareness
