Job Description
Background
- The project Promoting Access to Integrated GBV Services to Conflict Affected Communities in Borno State is a 8-month project (November 2022 – June 2023) funded by the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) and implemented by the Rehabilitation Empowerment and Better Health Initiative (REBHI) in Bama LGA of Borno state.
- The project targets vulnerable populations in IDP camps and host communities in Bama with the aim of reducing suffering and vulnerability to GBV, SGBV & SEA for women and girls of reproductive age.
- The project will also support the co-ordination of the GBV sub-sector through co-ordination of the dignity kits technical working group (which REBHI leads) by assessing reviewing and implementing the needs of beneficiaries into the standardized dignity kits contents.
Job Description
- Support in the implementation and management of the project
- Developing work-plans, budgets and overseeing implementation of activities
- Developing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual progress reports, project presentations, and program updates
- Finalize reports on activities, outputs and outcomes; as well as donor reports;
- Development and submission of donor financial and narrative reports;
- Ensure adherence to work-plan and budgets in planning and implementation of programs/ project;
- Maintain synergies within and with other program/ project teams and M&E teams
- Provide guidance to staff and partners on Results Based Management tools and performance indicators.
- Provide advisory and program management inputs to the program manager
- Draft organizational strategy documents, briefs, policy dialogue and other documents related to the project;
- Support in development of program/ project proposals and initiatives;
- Participate in meetings and dialogues on issues related to the project on behalf of REBHI, as necessary;
- Identify areas for support and interventions within the project
- Provide technical assistance and capacity development to project partners within the GBV sub-sector
- Identify capacity building needs of stakeholders and partners
- Build and manage relationships with partners to support implementation of the project; and to respond to any potential problems
- Provide partners with technical assistance, mentoring, training and capacity development initiatives.
- Support the monitoring of implementation of activities and finances using the results based management tools;
- Undertake field missions and write reports on monitoring missions;
- Support management of overall project budget;
- Supervise programs assistants and volunteers;
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements / Competencies
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification with at least 3 years work experience.
- Strong program formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation skills
- Strong knowledge of Results Based Programming and Management
- Ability to synthesize program performance data and produce analytical reports in order to inform management and strategic decision-making
- Strong Knowledge of gender and development / women’s empowerment
- Innovative partnerships development and resource mobilization skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail
- Organizational learning and knowledge sharing skills
- Good conflict resolution skills
- Ability to identify and analyze trends, opportunities and threats to fundraising and develop strategies
