Job Description



Purpose of the role: As Business Development Associate you will support the team in strategically sourcing, and consolidating leads to achieve the set revenue targets.


Main Responsibilities




  • Conduct research to identify new markets; consult with senior management to discuss innovation to existing products and services to meet the market demand.




  • As a key member of the team, collaborate with Head BD  to execute growth strategies according to business priorities.




  • Coordinate appointments, calls, and meetings between senior management and customers for discussing new opportunities and business expansions.




  • Prepare sales proposals, and contract agreements;  negotiate and close deals.




  • Support the head of the unit in organizing, and facilitating stakeholder meetings within and outside the financial industry




  • Maintain superior knowledge of products and services




  • Build strong relationships with industry professionals, competitors, and vendors




  • Respond to questions, engage clients and ensure excellent customer relationships and satisfaction




  • Participate in team meetings/learning sessions and contribute valuable ideas




  • Accurately update relevant client information in the respective database




  • Engage in performance management  objectives & key result-setting and execution




Required Experience and Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, arts, or any related field.




  • 2-4years Post NYSC sales/business development experience preferably in a consulting firm /training organization.




  • Strong initiative and drive for results




  • Excellent verbal and written communication.




  • Robust desktop and in-person research, presentation, and reporting skills.




  • Energetic, determined, and highly capable disposition.




  • Excellent data management and analytical skills




  • Excellent Microsoft suite skills - Microsoft   PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
