Responsibilities
- Create and analyse liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling financial data and required documentations.
- Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including an income statement, statement of financial position, cashflow statement, and other necessary reports.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislations.
- Monitor and maintain a walkthrough analysis on all expenses and fund movements within the organisation.
- Focus on tax compliance, state business registration, contract review, and non-profit tax filing.
- Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
- Play a vital part in the company's financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary quarters.
Qualifications
- Experience in creating, distributing, and reporting tax datasheets, and in business tax compliance.
- Five years' post-professional certification experience in working with intercompany transactions and reconciliation in preparation for audit.
- Working knowledge of non-profit tax filing and tax compliance as it pertains to state and federal level regulations
- Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies
- Vast knowledge of Sage 200 Professional, and Microsoft Office Excel.
- Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment
- Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the company.
Requirements:
- Minimum of (6) years working experience in finance and accounts (preferably FCMG)
- Experience in using accounting software such as Sage 200 (mandatory), training would also be given.
- Educational and Professional Requirements:
- Professional Qualification ACCA desirable
- BSc or HND in Accounting
- MBA would be an added advantage
