EXECUTIVE

POSITION OBJECTIVES

You will be responsible for evaluating patients’ health conditions, using diagnostic equipment, such as a CT scanner, MRI scanner, and ultrasound to determine patients’ health conditions.

Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities:

Radiographer

• Performing ultrasonography of various body parts (Abdomen, pelvic, obstetrics, small parts, etc).


• Performing radiographic procedures like x-rays and CT of all body parts.


• Understands and utilizes principles of radiation safety


• Processes images, evaluates images for technical quality and accurate patient identification


• Verifies patient identification and physician orders


• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality


• Assess the level of patient care, demonstrates knowledge of contrast media, and identify/validates exam


• Careful ensure techniques of imaging plates were adhered to maintain the integrity of the final radiograph for interpretation.


• Followed specific part techniques given by the patient/doctor and adhered to part of this position.


• Performed diagnostic radiologic procedures according to departmental protocols and ensures all pertinent information is available.


• Prepared and positioned patients according to protocol with patient safety and quality imaging standards followed at all times.


• Professionally respond to patients’ needs and works as a collaborative team member in the department.

Others

• Explain to patients and their families the details of a procedure and ways to manage possible side effects


• Regularly inspect diagnostic equipment to ensure they are functional and operate efficiently


• Assist physicians during complex radiological examinations


• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines to minimize the risk of exposure to ionizing radiation

Attributes:

• Degree in Medical radiography and radiological science.


• PGD in ultrasonography.


• Minimum of Two-year post NYSC experience.


• Must have a valid radiographer license


• Excellent interpersonal skills.


• Must have a good understanding of Medical Software.
