Job Summary
- The Graphic Designer will be a part of the Group's Marketing Team and will be responsible for conceptualizing visuals, drawing illustrations and managing graphic layouts for all online and offline marketing & branding activities.
- The responsibility includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. He/she will be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, books, calendars, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and more. His/her graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
Responsibilities
Creatives / Design:
- Ensure complete understanding of the project and conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
- Estimating the time required to complete a job and cost associated, if any.
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design using innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints.
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using relevant software or by hand.
- Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to the team and/or customers.
Topography and Layout:
- Test graphics across various media.
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
- Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print.
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
- Amend designs after feedback.
- Work with the relevant team to produce the final design.
Tools and Technology:
- Stay up to date with relevant/new tools & technology and ensure mastery of graphic design software.
- Working with a range of media, including computer-aided design (CAD), and keeping up to date with emerging technologies.
- Use the appropriate tools and technology for each graphic to ensure high-quality output.
Collaboration:
- Working as part of a team to deliver high-quality work across the Group.
- Liaising with external partners/vendors such as Printers, Copywriters, Photographers, Stylists, Illustrators, others.
- Designers, Web Developers, Agencies and Marketing Specialists.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate (B.Sc./HND)
- Must have at least 5 years experience as a designer.
- Certification / Training in Graphics, Visuals, Marketing concepts etc.
- Familiarity with Design Software and Technologies such as Photoshop and Flash.
- Good Understanding of Advertising Campaigns.
- Keen Eye for Aesthetics and Details.
- Knowledge of Layouts, Typography, Print, Web etc.
- Passion & Enthusiasm for Design, with a Creative Flair.
