JOB REQUIREMENTS
Candidate should possess the following:
- A degree in accounting (B.Sc./HND Accounting), professionally recognized certification e.g. ICAN will be an added advantage
- A minimum post NYSC work experience of 5 years as an accounts officer or in a similar role.
- Must be between the ages of 25-35 years old
- Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and other accounting software e.g. Peachtree
- Strong knowledge and competence in accounting, administration and financial principles
Job Responsibilities:
- Recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process
- Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Prepare P& L accounts as well as prepare books for financial statements
- Carry out bank reconciliation.
- Prepare tax reports for filing
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Assist in budget preparation and verification.
- Must be conversant with domestic and international accounting and account reporting laws to ensure compliance.
- Liaise with stakeholders and carry out financial transactions.
- Carry out the statutory monthly tax filing.
- Assist line manager in the preparation of company financial reports and documents
- Manage business accounts of the company and her affiliates as may be assigned.
- Receive, review and process incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Make payments to external service providers
