Location of Job: Akwa Ibom,Uyo


Reports to :  Project Site Surveyor


Main Function


The main job of Junior site surveyor includes assisting in directing the layout of the project’s construction work, compiling field survey data and contributing to planning and scheduling meetings with contractor representatives, project managers and on-site engineers. He is also responsible for determination of Position, establishment and monitoring of elevation of building structural elements including external works. It also involves monitoring for Mechanical and Electrical fittings on designated projects.

Role Responsibilities



  • Assist in establishing Site referenced survey control system (or otherwise as it may apply to the project) and benchmarks

  • Preliminary Site Mapping

  • Setting out of Building outline and staking of Grid Lines for consultant confirmation

  • Interpret project drawings

  • Assist in monitoring horizontal and vertical structural elements of buildings

  • Check and record survey instrument status and work quality measurements

  • Interface with the site engineer

  • Assist in evaluating staff performance, enforcing safety regulations and procedures and directly training crewmembers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project site surveyor

Experience/Qualification



  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree / HND in Surveying & Geoinformatics Engineering or related discipline

  • Minimum of 2 years' work experience with at least 1 year in construction industry

  • Professional Qualification in Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) will be an added advantage.
