The Volunteer’s Role

As the Communications Advisor, You will bring your experience to support all internal and external communication and support GADA's project's website and social media platforms.

As a volunteer, you will:

• 
  

  Lead the development, review and implementation of GADA’s communication strategy and operating plan aligned to GADA’s organizational priorities for outreach and impact.

  
  


• 
  

  Train GADA staff on basic media engagement strategies, and social media postings that protects the image and brand of GADA

  
  


• 
  

  Write and distribute high-quality content to promote GADA’s brand including website, social media, blog posts, storytelling, documentary, photography and media engagements.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist the Programmes unit in proofreading/editing reports for brand content in line with management policies and guidance and relevant donor requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform any other duties and tasks, which are commensurate with the responsibilities and level of the post.

  
  

Essential Requirements:

• 
  

  University degree or equivalent in Mass Communications, journalism, communications or another relevant field

  
  

Essential Background:

• 
  

  2-3 years of relevant work experience in state or national/based funded grants/contracts

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of non-profit communications strategy

  
  


• 
  

  Proficient in computer/software skills, website and social media handling
