Role: Systems Administrator 

Reports to: Senior IT Analyst

Job description 

The IT analyst will support the Team Lead in running the operations of the IT unit. The IT analyst's responsibilities will include but are not limited to systems design, network engineering, second-level IT support, and systems security. 

Responsibilities: Specific duties include 

• 
  

  Support the development of new solutions for Sydani’s clients or systems to support Sydani operations  

  
  


• 
  

  Design, install, configure, monitor, and maintain/repair IT systems 

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the network, services software or hardware with colleagues and clients 

  
  


• 
  

  Test, evaluate, and make decisions about new technologies for Sydani 

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in problem-solving sessions to provide fresh, technical perspectives to ongoing projects/workstreams  

  
  

Required competencies: 

• 
  

  Experience providing IT support 

  
  


• 
  

  Expertise with Microsoft Windows, Office, and Linux servers 

  
  


• 
  

  CCNA-level network engineering skills 

  
  


• 
  

  Willingness to problem-solve issues and see tasks through to completion

  Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment 

  
  

Required Qualifications  

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree (First- or second-class upper) from a recognized university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other IT-related degrees. 

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum Two (2) years of experience in a technical support role 

  
  


• 
  

  IT certifications in network engineering, Microsoft 365, or Linux administration
