Duties and Responsibilities
- Collates and reviews requirements from the potential client for a civil design project
- Perform field investigations and tests to acquire design parameters and prepare engineering drawings.
- Develop cost-effective design layouts based on need and on construction specifications and requirement
- Analyze design issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform civil design analysis and calculations according to project requirements using the latest software and technologies to develop effective designs
- Liaise with other departments for an all-inclusive and effective design
- Review the project plan and determine the design feasibilities and constraints
- Print out all designs and submit them for approvals
- Follow up on design approvals with the relevant statutory bodies and ensure all necessary stamps are obtained
- Maintain accurate design records for reference purposes
- Manage design projects within allotted timelines and budget
- Perform design changes and improvements according to changing project demands
- Consider health safety and environmental requirements when developing civil design
- Ensure compliance with iso 9001 2015 quality requirements
- Provide assistance to the design and construction team
- Stay informed with the latest development in the civil design field
Job Experience
Educational Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of B.Eng/B.Tech/HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Structural Engineering, and other related courses
- Minimum of 3-5 years cognate working experience
- Proficiency in the use of computer aid design, Revit, and AutoCAD
- Drawing Interpretation
- Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong Analytical problem-solving skills
