Urgent Vacancy 


Location: Lagos Island (Marina)

Industry: Finance/ Investment 

Mode of work: Hybrid


Responsibilities



  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners

  • Set up accounts for staff, ensuring they educated on how to log in and resolve issues arising

  • Investigate, diagnose, and solve computer software and hardware faults

  • Monitor computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved

  • Identify and solve any problems that arise with computer networks and systems.

  • Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation.

  • Respond to service calls when network issues are deemed to be the result of hardware failures.

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all fiber optic systems in homes including network extenders to ensure that they are working properly

  • Test and evaluate new technology

  • Maintain a working log detailed all required system updates, as well as the date of completion

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from employees


 

Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields

  • Industry-specific IT service certification will be an added advantage

  • Have a knowledge of computer networking, LAN, WLAN installation, configuration, troubleshooting

  • Have a knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair and troubleshooting

  • Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services

  • Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Mac OS.

  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.

  • Comfortable working in and assisting others through company help desk software, in addition to other remote access desktop program

  • Creative, open to new ideas and ability to multi-task effectively

  • Experience installing and configuring computer systems and applications.
