Job Description



The post holder will be responsible for developing the foundations key objectives and delivering its strategic plan. This will include enabling the sustainability of the foundation and raising awareness.


The role will support the foundation in ensuring that its nationwide programmes are such that support communities in a variety of diverse ways.


Key Accountabilities:



  • To work in collaboration with the Board of trustee to continue to build and develop the long terms vision and plans of the foundation.

  • To develop the foundation strategy to achieve and agree the annual income targets.

  • To be responsible for the foundation’s funds ensuring it is allocated appropriately whilst ensuring a rolling programme is developed.

  • To review all external funding applications made to the foundation and develop a compelling case for the foundation to support such cases and approval.

  • To oversee all foundation projects from inception to commissioning.

  • To prepare relevant business and financial reports concerning the foundations activities.

  • To explore and develop new projects pipelines that the foundation can explore and maintaining contact points.

  • Ensure the foundation fulfils all regulatory and statutory obligations in Nigeria.

  • To ensure the structure, policy documents, risk management, financial issues and conflict of interest are in line with the governance practices and policies.

  • Ensuring excellent quality assurance measures are in place


Required Qualifications / Experience:



  • A degree in any relevant or related degree would be applicable.

  • A proven successful track record and experience in managing and developing a foundation or similar body.

  • A good working knowledge of the non-for-profit sector (i.e. NGO in Nigeria).

  • Excellent written and communication skills.

  • Experience of researching and developing new funding pipelines.

  • Ability to review and approve multiply grant applicants.

  • Good Monitoring and evaluation skills.

  • Good report writing skills.

  • Ability to maintain and foster related relationships with internal and external stakeholder
