Participates in hiring of nursing staff employees.
Supervises nursing staff and makes daily physician workflow and task assignments.
Responsible for maintaining staff operations including rosters, performance appraisals, reporting and paid time off requests.
Coordinates and maintains the required training and competencies of staff.
Provides leadership and guidance to staff.
Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing services with physicians, to identify opportunities for improving services and patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with nursing policies and procedures.
Ensures availability and operation of necessary clinical equipment and supplies.
Responsible for ordering all clinical supplies and consumables for the Nursing department.
Provide psychological and emotional support to patients and relatives during and after procedures.
Develops, maintains and evaluates patient/client data collection systems and processes to support the practice of nursing and the delivery of excellent patient care.
Collaborates with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, executive staff, and other stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program services.
As needed, performs direct patient care, operates equipment safely and correctly, and carries out healthcare surveillances.

Job Specification
RN license, Bachelor’s Degree
6 to 8 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have basic clerical and administrative skills, such as: typing/Word Processing, filing, medical terminology, and be computer literate.
Current Infection Control Certificate and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
