Reports to: Financial Control Manager


Job Description



  • The Finance Control Analyst will be responsible for supporting the investment team in maintaining accurate financial records and managing process at operational level.


Management:



  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Manages outsourced functions.

  • Oversees the operations of the emerging accounting and treasury departments, including the design of schedules adequate for proper bookkeeping, tracking and posting of transactions

  • Oversees the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.


Transactions:



  • Ensure that proper books and schedules of accounts are kept adequately.

  • Ensures that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.

  • Ensures that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable.

  • Ensures that accounts receivable are collected promptly.

  • Processes payroll in a timely manner.

  • Ensures that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.

  • Ensures that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.

  • Maintains the chart of accounts.

  • Maintains an orderly accounting filing system.

  • Maintains a system of controls over accounting transactions.

  • Ensure all transactions are posted into the accounting system of the Company timely and correctly.


Reporting:



  • Support the company accountant and Finance Manager to Issue timely and complete financial statements.

  • Support the company accountant and Finance Manager to Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.

  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.

  • Support the company accountant and Finance Manager to Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.

  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.

  • Support the company accountant and Finance Manager to Provide for a system of management cost reports.

  • Provide financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.


Compliance:



  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.

  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

  • Enhances department and company reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

  • Any other duties matching your skills-set and experience in any of SFA|SCM and affiliated companies.


Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:



  • Proficiency with Microsoft office

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good presentation and communication skills

  • Ability to interpret financial data and allocate budgets

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

Education / Experience Requirements



  • B.Sc. Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field will be an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience

  • Accounting professional qualifications is essential

  • Usage of SAGE will be an advantage

  • Must be organized and possess process or system driven orientation.

  • 30 years & below
